THE PARTNERSHIP FOR CLIMATE-SMART COMMODITIES
To maintain a thriving export market, USDA sought to increase European demand for the products of American agriculture. However, research revealed that Europeans donʼt believe U.S. farmers produce food in an environmentally friendly way. I was challenged to overcome this barrier to growth by leveraging the U.S. government’s Partnership for Climate-Smart Commodities, a 3 billion dollar program that is helping small and underserved American farmers implement sustainable practices. My production team and I created the following mini-documentary series featuring the compelling stories of three very different farmers, the lengths to which they’re willing to go for the environment and the benefits they are seeing as a result.
